A wind-powered car has hit the land sailing record at a whopping 126 mpg! The Greenbird set the record last week while sailing on a dry lake near Las Vegas, Nevada.

R. Jenkins clocked 126.1mph (202.9km/h) while sailing the  Greenbird,  beating the previous record by just over 10mph (16km/h).

Described by the Greenbird team as a “very high performance sailboat”, the wind-powered car performed flawlessly on the day of the record, as you can see on the sailing video of Greenbird: Video – Greenbird Sails at 126 mph
